As the year wrapped up, the wellness app market on Android devices in the United Kingdom saw varied performance across top contenders. Sensor Tower provides a comprehensive look into how these applications fared in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.
Calm - Sleep, Meditate, Relax experienced a notable increase in downloads, peaking at 9.8K in the last week of December. Weekly active users showed a high in October at 85K and dipped to 75K by the year's end. Revenue maintained a steady range, ending the quarter at around $30K.
Headspace: Sleep & Meditation saw its downloads rise mid-quarter to 6.3K before dropping to 3.9K, with weekly active users reaching a high of 104K in November and then decreasing to 86K. Revenue trends remained consistent, hovering around the $30K mark throughout the quarter.
ShutEye®: Sleep & Relax marked its highest download number at 17K in mid-October, with a slight decline to 15K by December. The app's weekly active users peaked at 35K in the final week, while revenue saw an increase, ending at around $18K.
Balance: Meditation & Sleep downloads surged to nearly 10K in late October but experienced a drop to 2.1K in late November, followed by a rebound to 10K in the last week. Weekly active users showed growth from 21K to over 33K, and revenue spiked significantly to $20K in the final week.
Me+ Daily Routine Planner, although a newer entrant, witnessed its downloads soar to 18K in December from an initial 6.4K in September. Weekly active users more than doubled, reaching 32K by quarter's end. Revenue also rose, concluding at $11.7K.
